RDS1 - Roadside De-Sulphator
Reduce warranty claims on good batteries and concentrate on selling!
The RDS De-Sulphator is designed for use on batteries that have a good voltage but fail to deliver sufficient current, for example when starting a car engine. The RDS design is the result of testing many batteries that have failed to accept charge from a normal charging system.
Did you know?
Since its introduction in 1997 the Calcium/Calcium, Calcium/Silver battery is now fitted to over 90% of new vehicles, and is the most commonly used replacement battery type.
For the vehicle manufacturer there are several advantages…
- Long shelf life without loss of charge.
- Smaller and lighter than conventional equivalent battery.
- Maintenance free.
For the repair and maintenance industry this has created several issues…
- Calcium type batteries require a special charging regime.
- Sulphation quickly forms on the active plates in the battery when the battery is discharged; this sulphation needs to be removed before the battery will accept a charge from the alternator or conventional battery charger.
